United in Remembrance, Service, and Support

The 9/11 Memorial Golf Classic & M‑Hill Stair Climb is a community-driven fundraiser hosted by the Ellsworth Firefighters Association, Rapid City Firefighters Association, and Rapid City Police Association. Together, we stand united in remembrance, service, and support.

Born from Lived Experience

This event was born from lived experience. Many of our members deployed in direct support of 9/11. We’ve felt the pain firsthand, and we carry the memory of that day in everything we do. Now, we channel that experience into action—bringing our community together to honor the fallen, celebrate our heroes, and raise funds for those who continue to serve. Held in Rapid City, South Dakota, this event marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with a powerful combination of ceremony, symbolic stair climb, and spirited golf tournament.

Supporting the Children’s Hospital Colorado Burn Center

This cause is deeply personal to us. Members of our community have experienced the life‑saving care provided at the Children’s Hospital Colorado Burn Center, one of the nation’s leading pediatric burn facilities and the closest major burn center to Rapid City. In moments of crisis, this is where our families would turn. That’s why we don’t just donate—we sponsor a child and their family through the hospital’s burn camp, helping them heal emotionally and physically. Supporting this center means standing with families who’ve faced the unimaginable and ensuring expert care is within reach when it’s needed most.

Strengthening Community Bonds: Brings together airmen from Ellsworth AFB, local police, firefighters, veterans, and civilians in one united day.

Supporting Families in Crisis: Raises funds for local firefighter and police associations, directly helping those who serve the community every day. Supports the Children’s Hospital Colorado Burn Center — the closest major burn facility for our region.

Inspiring the Next Generation: Sponsorship of children and families through burn camp shows young survivors they are not alone.
