Our mission

On September 11th, 2026, the Ellsworth Firefighters Association will partner with the Rapid City Firefighters Association and the Rapid City Police Association to host the 9/11 Memorial Golf Classic and M‑Hill Stair Climb in Rapid City. Together, these events honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and celebrate the bravery of first responders, military members, veterans, and their families. Dedicated to remembrance, unity, and community support, the day will feature a memorial ceremony, static displays, the symbolic M‑Hill climb, and a golf tournament. Join us as we honor the memory of those lost, pay tribute to our heroes, and strengthen our community through this important cause.

The 9/11 Memorial Golf Classic & M‑Hill Stair Climb is more than just an event—it’s a living tribute. Located in Rapid City, South Dakota, this day brings together first responders, military members, veterans, and families to honor the lives lost and the spirit of unity that rose from tragedy. For many of us, this isn’t history—it’s personal. Members of our team deployed in direct support of 9/11. We’ve felt the pain, carried the weight, and now we stand together to transform remembrance into action. Through community, ceremony, and shared purpose, we strive to create a day that heals, uplifts, and inspires.
